Golf Back Pain Causes
Your back pain may not begin with your back
The golf swing requires force to move through the ground, hips, trunk and upper body. When movement or force production is limited elsewhere, the lower back may take on more work than it is prepared for.

How Golf Back Pain Shows Up
Golf back pain can appear during your swing, after a round or as recurring stiffness that limits rotation, comfort and confidence.
- Tightness during the back nine, difficulty rotating comfortably
- Pain following practice/play or morning stiffness after a round
- Symptoms when addressing the ball, repeated episodes after returning to golf
How we assess Golf Back Pain
We examine force production, movement capacity, control and relevant left-to-right differences. This gives us a broader view than assessing the painful area in isolation.
